“Glass is no barrier for UVA rays,” says Dr. Lisa Kellett, a dermatologist at DLK in Toronto. “I keep a long-sleeved white shirt in my car to wear for added sun protection when I’m stuck in traffic.”
“If you have breakout-prone skin, choose an oil free formula, preferably gel or alcohol based,” says Dr. Paul Cohen, a dermatologist at Rosedale Dermatology Centre in Toronto. “If you have sensitive skin, go for an SPF with titanium dioxide.”
TIP: Not all waterproof formulas are designed to withstand the acidity of heavy perspiration, so if sweating’s your game sweatproof is your key word.
