Hyperhidrosis (Excessive Sweating)

DLK on Avenue is proud to offer a safe and effective solution for people who suffer from excessive sweating.

The Hyperhidrosis treatment is scientifically and clinically proven to reduce excessive sweating in multiple areas such as underarms, hands, back and feet. The procedure is very simple – a small volume of medicine is injected by a very fine, small needle in the affected area and works by blocking the chemical signal from the nerve to the sweat gland, stopping that area from sweating.  As the sweat gland is no longer stimulated by the overactive nerve, the sweating stops. Since the drug only works in the area where it is injected, sweat glands on other parts of the body function normally.

  • Clinically proven to be a safe and effective treatment for hyperhidrosis
  • Can be used to treat excessive sweating on multiple parts of the body such as: hands, feet, underarms, back and wrists.
  • Effect of the treatment is long lasting. On average, each treatment will effectively reduce sweating for up to 7 months
  • Many private insurance plans may cover the cost to treat hyperhidrosis

Hyperhidrosis Treatment procedure takes place in a medically supervised clinic after a consultation session. Treatment is safe and effective with no downtime and takes between 20-40 minutes (dependant on the number of target areas) and multiple areas can be treated at the same time. No anesthesia or sedation is necessary. Our Registered Nurse first examines the treatment area then, while the patient lies back on a comfortable bed, the medicine is injected using a very fine needle into the target area. Most patients experience a painless and comfortable experience with side effects being extremely rare. Patients are immediately able to resume their daily routine.

In a clinical study that involved 240 patients with excessive underarm sweating, 95% of patients responded to the treatment, with an average reduction in sweating of 83% in 1 week. On average, each treatment will effectively reduce sweating for 7 months.

You should notice a significant reduction of sweating from the treated areas with a week of your treatment.  Your excessive sweating will slowly return over a number of months.  Each person is different, but on average, patients require another treatment in about 7 months.  When you feel it is time for another appointment, simply contact us for your next appointment.
