My DLK For Plasma IQ Treatment

Plasma IQ Treatment in Toronto

DLK’s Plasma IQ treatment is a minimally invasive procedure to rejuvenate and tighten skin and reduce the signs of aging around the eyes and mouth. Plasma IQ treatment is a minimally invasive procedure approved by Health Canada that harnesses the power of plasma energy to create small thermal wounds at the skin surface that extends into the upper dermis to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

What Is Plasma IQ?

Plasma IQ treatment harnesses the power of plasma energy to create small thermal wounds at the skin surface that extends into the upper dermis to rejuvenate and tighten skin and reduce the signs of aging. The procedure creates tiny brown carbon crusts lasting approximately one week before resolving.

The micro-injuries sustained during treatment promote the long-term firming, tightening, and smoothing effects that are part of the natural healing response.

How to Prepare for Your Plasma IQ Treatment

To prepare for your Plasma IQ treatment, avoid tanning, spray tanning, or using a sunbed for 4-6 weeks beforehand. Use an SPF of 35+ every day before your treatment, especially if you have a darker skin tone. Keep your skin completely clean of any products the day of your treatment, stay fully hydrated, and wear comfortable clothes.

During Your Plasma IQ Treatment

Your Plasma IQ treatment ionizes gas particles to generate electricity that creates small punctures on the skin's surface. The Plasma IQ Pen, which creates micro-injuries, glides over the treatment area(s) for 30 minutes, but this time depends on the size and severity of your concerns.

Plasma IQ Aftercare & Recovery

DLK’s Plasma IQ treatment is a minimally invasive cosmetic rejuvenation procedure that rejuvenates aging skin in the eye and mouth area for a more youthful appearance that continues to improve over time. Results are cumulative, and a series of 3 treatments is recommended, with additional maintenance treatments as required. Treatments are normally done every 6 weeks and may be combined with other treatments for optimal results.

Uses of Plasma IQ

Our Plasma IQ treatment(s) can help collagen production for better skin laxity and can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, particularly around the eyes and mouth.

Plasma IQ FAQ

Is plasma skin tightening safe?

Yes, Plasma IQ is a safe treatment, especially when compared to the majority of invasive treatments. However, you may experience some swelling and bruising for up to a week following your treatment.

Is Plasma IQ permanent?

Yes, your Plasma IQ treatment results can be permanent. The spots will flake off of your skin over the course of 1-2 weeks, and the skin will heal. Your results will last years or permanently, depending on which treatment plan and aftercare instructions the DLK on Avenue team provides you.

How long does a fibroblast treatment last?

You will notice your fibroblast results immediately after your Plasma IQ treatment, and your results will continue to improve. As cell turnover occurs and collagen increases, you’ll see your skin improve over the course of around 3 months. Your results will typically last for 3 years.

How many sessions of Plasma IQ do I need?

We recommend three treatments with additional maintenance sessions to achieve optimal Plasma IQ results. Your treatments will typically be spaced 6 weeks apart and may be done in combination with other treatments if required or requested.

Is Plasma IQ painful?

You may experience a stinging feeling during your Plasma IQ treatment, but a numbing cream can be applied to reduce this sensation. Otherwise, there is no pain associated with a Plasma IQ treatment.
